- Celebrated family time for both Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years Day.
- Came back to work after the holidays and discovered I had to go to Army school and move NLT 17 Jan.
- Cleared Fort Hood, signed out 14 Jan, drove to Fort Meade, MD, and signed in for a 4 week course (Advanced Noncommissioned Course).
- After 4 weeks was honored by my peers wiht the Leadership Award (selected by the class.)
- Flew home, got the movers to pack and ship our houshold goods, cleaned the house, hired a lanscaper, lived in a hotel for a week, then drove to Maryland with 1x wife, 2x children, 1x dog, and one big migrane. (Actually we had a good time together, but jeeze was that a long drive.)
- Got to Maryland and searched long and hard for a home. Finally find one after many adventures, in Glen Burnie, just a few miles south of Baltimore.
- Got our household goods delivered, signed into Fort Meade and started work.
- Steep learning curve for my new job, trying to learn my ways around town (shopping, hospitals, schools, gaws stations.) This is more stressful than most people realize!
- Leaned I am eligable for promoton to E8 (Master Sergeant) this fall, so I need to get my records up-to-date.
Okay, have to go. Will update later. I promise.
